About time I'll update this page. Like everybody my life is dynamic and since I will not update this page
every time something changes, please note this is only the general information.
My name is Ohad, I'm 28 and lives in Israel. I go by the nickname Civax
for many years (even before I was introduced to the internet). I lived for the past 4 years in Jerusalem, where
I studied in the Hebrew University, and am now sattling in the Tel Aviv area. I'm also often at
Ashkelon where my parents and my dog, Leonardo, lives.
I work as a Game Developer, currently develops games for mobile phones.

This blog started as a page
for my Cloth Simulation project I did in the Computer Graphics Lab.
When later I've bought a webcam used this page to upload the recent picture for family
and friends. not much after I've removed the coloth simulation files and started this blog.
I'm not a very political guy but I tend to post about major events going on in Israel. Don't count
on it though. I don't always dive into hot issues even though I have a tendecy to do so. This blog
is not one of the popular one-theme blogs and many of the posts here are personal. Most of my regulars
are friends, anyway.

My main interest is Computer Graphics, specialy Demo Scene
and Game Development. I've been organizing Demo Parties in Israel between the years 1995-1998
and am currently running a popular scene / game development website - CFXweb
- for 3 years. I'm also the Chapter Coordinator for IGDA in Israel.
Research fields that interests me are Simulations of Natural Phenomenons (cloth, water, fire, magnetism etc) and
visual representations of A-Life (Genetic algorithms, evolving virtual creatures etc).

Traveling is another (huge!) hobby of mine, but unfortunatly, I cannot enjoy it a lot (time and money issues...).
Places I've backpacked includes Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway,
Ireland, England and Wales. I have also enjoyed Amsterdam and Prague
as cities (without traveling Holland or much of the Czech republic).
Future destinations may include New-Zealand (and Australia), Germany, Canada
and the US. I would also like to travel in Iran, though this will probably won't be
possible in the near future as Israel and Iran are hostile countries (VERY hostile). The country I
was mostly affected by was by far Ireland where I fall inlove with the land and people.
I keep hearing Celtic music and Irish pubs (like the israeli Molly Blooms)
are my favorite. There is no doute I will return to this wonderful country one day.
I'm a backpacker in soul, and feel uncomfort when things are too smooth and comfy. I've noticed that
specialy when I visited Prague with Gali, a good friend. I'm also not much of a city tourist. I do like
cities, but I get bored quickly and wish to be on the road again. I guess I'll get more comfortable with
hotels and smooth travels as I'll get older, but I'm not that spoiled yet... :)

I also like to read about various scientific fields (specialy anything to do with space exploration), Some SciFi and
Fantasy, Mythology, History, Art and Writing. Evolutionary biology and Genetic Engineering are also something I've
started to read about, lately. Ofcourse, this doesn't really cover all my interests but it's just what I could come
up with at the moment...
I'm also interested in all sorts of creative activities and even some extreme sports. The one I've practiced the most
is wall climbing (used to do a lot of it, both in Israel and in Scandinavia). I'm also study copywriting at
the moment, and considering getting some formal education in film and script writing.

I'm mostly autodidact type of person. If it interests me I can go to the depth of it. However, formal education
is always good. I've studied Phyiscs in University and taken several CS courses as well as computer graphics
courses while being part of the Computer Graphics Research Lab.
I hope to close my degree next year, when I'll finish with current projects. Computer related, I also have experience
in fields such as Databases, Web Development and Web Design.
I'm also finishing my copywriting course soon and will get my diploma in a few months.
